Position Summary:
The Safety Coordinator (SC) is responsible for the implementation of safety procedures for the facility, including but not limited to warehouse operations, customer service, and office operations.. The (SC) will assist in the professional development and motivation of all employees in the area safety as a key responsibility. The (SC) assists the senior management team in establishing warehouse performance objectives and strategic planning. This position reports to and receives direction from Safety Management.

The work schedule will be the following: SUNDAY-THURSDAY: 10:00PM-6:30AM

Primary Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the implementation of safety systems and procedures for operating and managing physical facilities, equipment and products
  • provide administrative support to meet prescribed productivity and Safety goals
  • Monitor all facility, exits, entry ways, egress, production, injury reports
  • Work with all department head to research any safety concerns
  • Assist in the effective communications with employees, and management staff
  • Remain knowledgeable regarding changes in hardware and software updates
  • Assist in the establishment of safety standards for all employees’ and communicate these standards to all employees’
  • Assure each employee receives the required level of safety training and administrative support
  • Maintain appropriate contact with all departments and respond to requests when required
  • Track, monitor and report daily any safety concern and/or activities as required
  • Assist in the development system of controls to ensure that safety service levels and operational performance goals are met within prescribed company policy


  • Basic knowledge of OSHA, or other regulatory/compliance issues that fall within Environmental Health and Safety
  • Basic knowledge of continuous improvement and workplace safety

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Dedicated to Safety First mind-set through metrics and delivered results
  • Time management and self-awareness skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
  • High level of attention to detail
  • High level of organizational skills & ability to multi-task/prioritize
  • Food Handling experience a plus
  • Ability to use most types of Material Handling Equipment
  • Strong coaching, training and motivational skills; ability to lead a team
  • Experience in a warehouse environment preferred
  • Bi Lingual Speaker preferred ( Spanish)
