EHS Consultant [SC-11582]

An EHS consulting firm is looking to make additions to its life sciences team in the Greater Boston Area. This company has a long history of delivering for hundreds of clients throughout New England, and is now experiencing rapid growth during following unprecedented demand for its services during COVID. Ideal candidates should have experience within a laboratory setting and knowledge of EHS requirements, but do not necessarily need to come directly from an EHS role - lab/bench scientists with a keen interest in developing their careers within the EHS space are encouraged to apply!

The role:

  • Development and implementation of client EHS programs/procedures (e.g. Biosafety, Chemical Safety, Hazard Communication, Emergency Preparedness, etc.)
  • Coordinating/facilitating client safety committees, institutional biosafety committees, etc.
  • Establishing and maintaining relevant local/state/federal EHS permits and licenses
  • Specialized EHS training (e.g. HAZWOPER, RCRA, DOT, CPR, etc.)
  • Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), lab inspections and risk assessments


The candidate:

  • 5+ years' experience in the life sciences sector (e.g. pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, academic research, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree at a minimum (preferably in Biology/Chemistry)
  • Knowledge of EHS regulations in the life sciences sector (e.g. OSHA, EPA, NIH, CDC, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • Able to drive around Boston/Cambridge 5 days per week
