Job Title: Environmental Due Diligence Professional 

Position Type: Full Time

Location: Can work out of one of our main office locations in Southern California, Seattle, Reno, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Nashville, Houston, Dallas, Chicago or Denver. May also consider other mutually agreed upon locations.

Job Description:  As a member of the risk management team you will be responsible for reviewing technical environmental documents in support of property due diligence and coordinating with environmental consultants.  More specifically you will:

  • Collaborate with Panattoni colleagues and external partners in North America regarding environmental due diligence
  • Conduct review of technical documents in support of property due diligence
  • Review and summarize Phase I assessments, site investigations, hazardous materials surveys, and remediation/closure documents
  • Direct the remediation process for multiple projects across North America and interact with regulatory agencies to bring projects to regulatory closure
  • Communicate effectively with employees across all functions, consultants, insurance carriers, clients, investors and other stakeholders
  • Keep ahead of industry trends and regulatory changes to determine paths forward that make sense for the company

What we need from you:

  • Bachelors degree preferred in engineering, geoscience, environmental, or earth science
  • Minimum 10 Years experience in environmental due diligence including regulatory site closure and real estate transactions
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a focus towards results and value creation
  • Strong technical knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to comprehend and simplify complex concepts/analyses to help influence business decisions
  • Ability to effectively self manage multiple work assignments and projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with strong work ethic and strong communication skills.  Acts with urgency, agility and creativeness to drive projects to completion.  Inspires and builds trust among team and external stakeholders.
