Job Description

Established and highly successful Environmental Engineering and Consulting firm comprised of experienced and innovative technology-based solution providers.  Performs remediation, consulting, engineering, chemistry and scientific services to industrial, commercial and governmental clients.  

Successfully and consistently demonstrates commitment to excellence, responsiveness, safety and delivery of technically sound environmental solutions driven by our client’s needs. We do this by taking an active interest in understanding our client’s business needs and tailoring solutions to support these business objectives.

Provides the following primary services:

  • In-situ and ex-situ remediation, with a specialization in chemical oxidation, to treat saturated soil and groundwater
  • Engineering and planning response for disaster and emergency response
  • Environmental engingeering and assessment, including litigation support
  • In-door air quality assessment and remediation (including mold, asbestos and radon)
  • Environmental and horizontal construction management
  • Chemistry data validation and laboratory audits
  • Water treatment

Sales / Business Development Manager – Job Description

  • As a “hunter”, the ideal candidate brings significant sales and business development experience, leadership ability and established client relationships.
  • Develop and execute effective Business Development Plan that leads to financial gain to the company
    • Fully functional role – no mentoring
    • Proven track-record of aggressively developing new business, while increasing business opportunities with existing clients
    • Creative spirit that looks for new products or services that MECX can offer
    • Report directly to the Executive Vice President/COO and President/CEO
    • Will travel up to 50% of the time
    • Salary and compensation package will be commensurate with his/her experience and skill set, plus full benefits
    • Provide a presentation of his/her proven track-record

 

Responsibilities:

  • Grow sales by adding new clients and increasing sales within current clients
  • Generate annual net revenue exceeding $500K per year at 15%+ profit with minimal ramp up time.
  • Support our business development team.

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Must have a “Cab Do” attitude.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not required.
  • 5 + years of related sales experience required.
  • Well-established in Houston regional environmental, development, oil and engineering markets is required.
  • Established in Chicago and Denver is preferred, but not required.
  • Candidate’s past clientele consisting of Fortune 500s, outside counsel and/or developers strongly preferred.
  • Marketing federal government clients is preferred, but not required.
