Essential Functions: 

  • Conduct environmental and safety reviews and surveys.
  • Investigate emergency spill response and accident.
  • Compliance monitoring of safety and environmental regulations.
  • Training of operations personnel per environmental and safety regulations.
  • Assist operations with government required recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Manage in-progress environmental and safety projects.
  • Assist corporate staff in the development standardized training programs.
  • Recommend waste minimization projects.
  • Conduct Industrial Health surveys and studies.
  • T.S.D. reviews (perform treatment storage disposal facility reviews).
  • Assist corporate staff in the continued development of a “world wide compliance program”.
  • Perform acquisitions and divestitures - “due diligence” reviews.
  • May have direct reports
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Some travel involved


  • Required – Bachelor degree preferably in Natural Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering Technology, Health, Safety, & Environment Engineering or Management, or Engineering.
  • Required - Six years general environmental, health and safety management experience.
  • Strongly Desirable - Knowledge of International Standard ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
  • Required – Four years or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Required – At least two years experience in the field of EHS audit and review.
  • Required - Demonstrated leadership, project management, facilitation and problem-solving skills.
  • Required - Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Required – Must have demonstrated ability to travel on a regular basis.
