Regulatory Analyst

This position is responsible for obtaining and maintaining federal/state/provincial pesticide registrations of Harrell’s products.  May include assignments for fertilizers, soil amendments, surfactants and adjuvants. Shall be responsible for the development of registration strategies in order to meet the timing needs of the business and develop internal and external relationships with key stakeholders.


  • Product registration and renewals as required under applicable federal and state laws
  • Reviews and approves product labels in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Solid knowledge of Federal Insecticide Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), safety data sheets (SDS), and Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) as well as all associated compliance and regulations.
  • Works closely with Director of Regulatory Affairs in all correspondence to and from regulatory agencies.
  • Assist Director of Regulatory Affairs with procedures to ensure compliance with FIFRA, state laws, hazardous materials regulations, MPS/GHS, and other applicable laws and regulations
  • Travel required – 10%



  • Bachelor degree or equivalent professional experience in relevant field.  Master’s degree or certification preferred.



  • Five years of Federal Pesticide Registration experience required. 




  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to read and interpret regulations as well as the ability to communicate technical information.
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to work against pressing deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to work independently.



  • The use of a computer and phone – Must be able to see, type, write, finger, grasp, and sit; must be able to use a mobile phone.
  • Communicating with internal and external customers – must be able to talk, hear, see, and comprehend.
  • Mobility of arms – Must be able to reach, and use arms to manipulate small objects.
  • Mobility inside the office to access filing cabinets, office machines, and supplies – must be able to move about the office space, stand for extended period of time, reach, bend, and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
