Safety Manager [JR-11742]

A large, family-owned food manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to manage health & safety programs and compliance for their large (1500-employee) processing plant in the Walnut Ridge, AR area. The incumbent will be tasked with coaching and training employees in order to drive a strong culture of safety.

The role:

• Serve as the safety expert and advisor on site, working collaboratively with plant leadership
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations (OSHA, EPA)
• Develop and implement safety training for employees at all levels
• Manage the workers compensation program and serve as the liaison for any claims
• Maintain records, conduct regular audits and any incident investigations

The candidate:

• 10+ years of relevant EHS experience in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing preferred)
• Bachelor of Science in Safety, EHS or Industrial Hygiene
• CSP preferred
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Hands-on, "on the floor" approach to safety management
