Staff Safety Specialist

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity in the EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) field? Do you have experience in a manufacturing setting? If so, please consider our Staff Safety Specialist position in Kohler, Wisconsin.

In this role you will drive and support all aspects of safety and health for the Cast Iron division. This will include the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS programs designed to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and control workplace EHS hazards at the Cast Iron facility. Key activities will include accident investigations, ergonomic improvements, OSHA compliance and implementing Kohler Safety Management Systems (KSMS). You will provide assistance to all areas to achieve compliance with regulatory agencies in order to minimize EHS hazards and risks while promoting a safe, healthy and sustainable work environment.


  • A bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety or engineering disciplines required.

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of broad related EHS or safety programs experience in an industrial environment.

  • Experience leading small teams.

  • Strong planning, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills are essential.

  • Experience in a foundry or manufacturing environment a plus.
